I’ll say, from the moment I was old enough to understand the difference between luck and grace, I knew which one guided my life. Hi, my name is Lara Diji. I’m a Nurse Practitioner and an emerging creative artist who believes in healing through comfort and creativity. After moving to the United States from Nigeria at the tender age of 14, I faced significant cultural differences. While I was familiar with many unpalatable practices from my home country, adapting to American culture brought its own challenges. Integrating, navigating my teenage years, and finding my place in the world were often difficult, demanding, and even depressing. I found escape in drawing, giving these artworks meaning and purpose. During the pandemic, I decided to bring life to the drawings I had accumulated over the years. With a career built on cardiac health, I chose to combine my two passions to create these special products. I know I am made for much more. I have always believed my life has a special purpose. For a long time, I was scared, and I still am, but I have decided not to let fear hold me back anymore. I take each day as a second chance to live peacefully with everyone. Peaceful living can take many forms, but without true light, a life of peace is impossible. God is peace, and I have embraced Him.
